Gadrongo is a boss and monster in Dragon Quest IX.

Characteristics

Gadrongo is a great monster that was sealed inside of a statue that watches over the Wyrmlight bow. It is an immense quadrupedal beast with teal skin, a long tail, and dragon-like wings on its back. It has a mouth filled with huge fangs and it wears a spiked skullcap on its head. In its right hand, it wields a large spiked club, and it has a spiked buckler strapped to its left arm. The lower half of its body is covered by a set of spiked armour. When travelers enter the final room of the Bowhole, the statue comes to life to test their strength. The monster attacks by utilising its immense bulk and swinging its spiked club, as well as paralysing its opponents with its exhalations.
