This is a template for equipment that appear in Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King. For appearances in other games, please use the corresponding equipment template.

|PS2icon=Icon of the equipment in DQVIII (PS2 version).
|3DSicon=Icon of the equipment in DQVIII (3DS version).
|stats= Stat modifiers and special effects.
|price= Purchase / Sell prices
|location= Places where the item can be purchased or obtained.
|character= Mugshots of the characters who can equip this item, limited to 46px width.
|notes=Special effects of equipment, if any.
|i1= First ingredient used to create this item. Only use these variables if this item can be created by alchemy.
|i2= Second ingredient, if any.
|i3= Third ingredient, if any.
|i4= Icon of the equipment, limited to 32px width.
|a1= Icon of the equipment, limited to 32px width. Only use these variables if this item can be used as an ingredient for alchemy.
|a2= Second ingredient, if any.
|a3= Third ingredient, if any.
|a4= Result of the alchemy, if any.
