The Demon deacon is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest VII.

It is a high-ranking spellcaster from the demon world.

Characteristics edit

Demon deacons are towering Demonic warlocks that wear elaborate white and purple robes decorated with gold and carry golden glaive-like staves in their hands. Its "face" is a singular eye that is obscured by their robes, along with a headpiece with two gold spikes. They are capable of casting a variety of different spells against their enemies, as well as blinding them with gleaming bursts of light.
