The Preying mantis (formerly Mantipion) is a monster in the game Dragon Quest VII. It can be found in the Western Cave and under Dharma Temple.
Characteristics
Preying mantises are monstrously large six-legged insects with intimidatingly sharp bladed claws that they use to slice and dice their way through prey. Their bright reddish exoskeleton allows them to blend in with the backs of the deep caves they live in. Their claw slash skills serve up extra damage, making them more of a threat than they first seem.
