Characteristics[edit | edit source]
The saw blade is a single-edged sword similar to a sabre or scimitar, but with a peculiar serrated blade much like a saw. The sword has an intricate red grip with a small blue gem on the pommel. It is a mid-ranking sword with no special effects.

The Saw blade has an Attack bonus of +27 and can be equipped by Sancho, Revaulting horse, Walking corpse, and Rockbomb. It can be purchased for 1,200 gold from Zoomingale and Helmunaptra and sold for 600 gold. It has a 1⁄16 chance of being dropped by Mandrake major and a 1⁄32 chance of being dropped by Sea dog.
Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation[edit | edit source]
The Saw blade has an Attack bonus of +54, a Style penalty of -2, and can be equipped by Carver, Terry, and Lizzie. It can be purchased for 9,800 gold from Castle Swanstone, Mt. Snowhere, and Turnscote, and sold for 7,350 gold. The Style bonus can be improved to +33 at the Fashion Forge for 800 gold. It has a 1⁄256 chance of being dropped by Poison eveel.
Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past[edit | edit source]
The Saw blade has an Attack bonus of +54, a Style penalty of -2, and can be equipped by the Hero, Kiefer, and Aishe. It can be purchased for 8,800 gold at Nottagen and Wetlock in the present and sold for 4,400 gold. Saw blade can also be won as a prize from the Lucky Panel at the Casino near Pilgrim's Rest inn, making it one of the most powerful weapons the party can acquire as early as the events at Alltrades Abbey.
Dragon Quest VII Reimagined[edit | edit source]
The Saw blade has an Attack bonus of +54 and can be equipped by the Hero and Aishe. It cannot be purchased anywhere, but can be sold for 2,500 gold. Saw blade can be won as a prize from the Lucky Panel at Pilgrim's Rest in the past by opening a treasure chest, is a 2♦ prize in the present, and is a 1♦ prize after the Demon King's resurrection.
