The Leather kilt is clothing in the series.

Characteristics[edit | edit source]

A simple wrap made of tanned beast hides that covers the wearer's lower body down to their knees, held on the waist with a black leather belt. It tends to be suited for characters with rugged sides and monster companions, in some games being exclusive for male characters. Pankraz from Dragon Quest V is seen wearing one in official art, although his is made from blue hides rather than the typical brown leather. In Dragon Quest IX, the leather kilt is counted as a piece of legwear rather than body armour.
