A beautiful folding fan that appears to have made from a silvery-gold filigree material. Its name in English and other languages relates to its ability to deal extra damage to monsters of the Aquatic family. It is part of a set of weapons that are made in the same style.

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined edit
The Dryspell fan has an Attack bonus of +73, a Charm bonus of +86, and inflicts 20% extra damage to monsters of the Nature family. It can be equipped by the Hero, Maribel, Sir Mervyn, and Aishe. It can be found at the Pool of the Cave in a treasure chest that requires the Ultimate key to open. The fan cannot be sold.
Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King 3DS edit
The Dryspell fan has an Attack bonus of +90, inflicts 160% damage to monsters of the Aquatic family, and can only be equipped by Red. It can be found in a treasure chest at the Altar of Wroth. The fan can be sold for 12,000 gold, but it is not recommended to do so as there is only one in the game.
Dragon Quest X edit
The Dryspell fan has an Attack bonus of +86, a Style bonus of +18, an Agility bonus of +40, and a Weight bonus of +4. It deals 10% extra damage to monsters of the Aquatic family. The fan can be equipped by a Martial Artist, Minstrel, Sage, Luminary, Dancer, Druid, or Hermit. It can be crafted with woodworking.

The Dryspell fan has an Attack bonus of +86, an Agility bonus of +40, a Charm bonus of +18, and deals 10% extra damage of the Aquatic family. It can be equipped by the Hero as a Martial Artist, Minstrel, Luminary, or Dancer, and Fuura. The fan be crafted with the Fun-Size Forge.
