It can be purchased from Reeve, Romaria, and the Immigrant Town in its early stages for 80 gold and sold for 60 gold. Leather hats can be dropped by Antnibblers, Spiked hares, and Mermaniacs. One can be found in Romaria in a chest of drawers and another on the first Treasures n' Trapdoors board.

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined edit

The Leather hat increases defence by 3 and can be equipped by all party members. It can be purchased for 65 gold coins and sold for 32. They can be found in various locations like Pilchard Bay, Ballymolly (both in the past and in the present), as a reward in the Lucky Panel minigame in Pilgrim's Rest in the past. In the Offline version of the game, it can be equipped by the Hero as a Warrior, Priest, Martial Artist, Thief, Minstrel, Gladiator, Paladin, Armamentalist, Ranger, Luminary, Dancer, or Gadabout, as well as Hussar, Mjoll, Raguas, and Duston.
