The Mage's attire, also known as the Mage's cloak, is a robe in the series.
Characteristics[edit | edit source]
The mage's attire is an orange bolero-like shirt decorated with gold at the opening, sharing a similar design to the Fizzle-retardant suit from Dragon Quest IX. When worn by female characters, it is worn with the purple top from the Fizzle-retardant blouse. The outfit is also embellished with various assorted jewelry.

Dragon Quest X [edit | edit source]
The Mage's attire has a Defence bonus of +23, a Style bonus of +8, a Magical Might bonus of 24, and increases the wearer's Weight by 1. It reduces damage taken from attack spells by 5%. The robe has an equipment level of 30 and can only be equipped by Mages. The entire set consists of the mage's attire, the mage's trousers, the mage's hat, and mage's boots. If all four pieces are equipped, the wearer gains a +15 bonus to Magical Might and a +25 bonus to Style.
Dragon Quest X Offline[edit | edit source]
The Mage's attire has a Defence and Magical Might bonus of +29, as well as a Deftness and Charm bonus of +16. It reduces damage taken from attack spells by 5%. The robe can only be equipped by the Hero as a Mage. It can be made with the Fun-Size Forge:

Dragon Quest Walk[edit | edit source]
The Mage's attire is 3★ armour with a Defence bonus of +9, a Magical Might bonus of +4, and increases the wearer's resistance to sleep by 5%.
Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai: A Hero's Bonds[edit | edit source]

Known as the Mage's Cloak in this game, it is a 2★ outfit that can be equipped by Mage, Priest, and Sage characters. At level 35, it has a Physical Defence bonus of +40 and a Magical Defence bonus of +41. It could occasionally be received from treasure hunts, as well as completing Chapter 1, Episode 13 - Enter the Infanticore (Beginner).
