Characteristics edit
Snap, Crackle, Poof is a defensive skill that temporarily negates negative status ailments on a single character. However, in some games, the character can still be affected by certain negative status ailments and instant death. It can be removed if the character dies or if they are targeted by Disruptive Wave.

Dragon Quest II HD-2D Remake edit
Snap, Crackle, Poof costs 6 MP to use and will protect a single party member from negative status ailments, debuffs, and instant death for several turns. It can be learned by the Princess of Moonbrooke at level 14.
Dragon Quest VII Reimagined edit
Snap, Crackle, Poof costs 8 MP to use and prevents a single party member from being affected by negative status ailments and debuffs for several turns. It is learned by reaching rank 3 as a Luminary. The skill can also be used by using the Faerie king's cane as a tool in battle.
Dragon Quest X edit
Snap, Crackle, Poof costs 4 MP to use, has a range of two meters, and nullifies negative status effects on a single party member for 120 seconds. It can be learned by a Priest, Paladin, Luminary, Dancer, Druid, Dragomancer, or Hermit by allocating 100 skill points into their Wand skill.
Dragon Quest X Offline edit
Snap, Crackle, Poof costs 4 MP to use and protects a single party member from negative status ailments, debuffs, and instant death for a few turns. It can be learned by the Hero as a Priest, Paladin, Luminary, or Dancer, Raguas, and Fuura through the Wands panel in their Character Builders for 7 skill points. The duration can be increased by up to four turns with Skill-Up Panels.
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age edit
Snap, Crackle Poof costs 8 MP to use and protects a single party member from negative status conditions for four turns. However, it cannot protect the character from instant death or Gyldygga's Kaching Kaclang. It can be learned by Serena through the Wands panel in her Character Builder for 13 skill points. It is also possible for Serena to be affected by Snap, Crackle, Poof at the start of battle if she has the Fantastick equipped, having a 50% chance at base level and 100% at +3.
