Dreamer's Tower

(Redirected from Tower of Najima)

The Dreamer's Tower is a tower dungeon in the overworld of Dragon Quest III.

It is located west of Aliahan on a small island in the kingdom's bay, and is connected to the large island via underwater tunnels.

Appearances edit

Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation edit

Although not accessible by land, the tower has 3 separate underground entrances which converge to the first floor entrance. The 3 entrances are from Aliahan Castle (thief's key required), the Shrine of the Plains south of Reeve, and the Promontory Passage. Incredibly, an inn is operated in the tower's basement; a handy service to insure rookie players don't get wiped out too easily.

The thief's key is held by a prophet on the top floor of the tower, who took it from the lowly Kirk Buzzer after trouncing the robber during a failed burglary. Upon talking to him, he gives it to The Hero. The key is required to leave Aliahan and continue the game, and can also be used to explore optional areas like the castle's dungeon.

Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake edit

The tower is showing its age in the HD remake, with several sections being covered in thick vines or having crumbled away. The innkeeper has more customers than before, including a crone disguised as a pretty woman. Players who approach the tower at night are tipped off to the old prophet's existence as the top floor is now illuminated by fire.
