Hootingham-Gore is a boss monster in Dragon Quest IX, and one of the Triumgorate of the Gittish Empire.
Characteristics[edit | edit source]
Hootingham-Gore is a human which mutated into an owl in his resurrection. Due to the magic used in his resurrection it is shown that he had gained the ability to spin his head like an owl (this can be seen when he casts an spell, for example) and it's also seen that he gained a pair of wings in the head. He wears a golden body armor which covers by a long violet tunic with golden details and a white and red diamond pattern in his sleeves. Also he wears some kind of earrings between the wings and the face and a kind of golden metallic hat. He also wields a staff made of wood with golden metallic decorations and an purple orb at the top of it with red feathers around.

Dragon Quest X [edit | edit source]
Hootingham-Gore appears as a boss in the game starting with Version 4.2 on July 12th, 2018, and has more abilities and spells, such as Tempest, in addition to summoning 2 Bad Karmours with Call Servants. Due to the game's 3D nature, his head now turns around like a real-life owl. He can also be fought alongside Gorehamm-Hogg and Goresby Purrvis starting on July 11, 2019, which is also the 10th anniversary of his debut game.
