As the story opens, the [[Dragonlord]] kidnaps [[Princess Gwaelin]] and steals the Sphere of Light, depriving [[Alefgard]] of its light and allowing him to unleash monsters upon it. Upon his defeat the Sphere of Light falls into the possession of the {{Hero 1}} and marks the end of the main story.
