Splish is a spell in the Dragon Quest series that damages a single target with a splash of water. Introduced in Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3, the Splish series of spells have only appeared in spinoff games thus far. It is the first Water-elemental spell in the series and is related to the stronger spells Splash, Kasplash and Kasplashle.
Appearances[edit | edit source]
Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3[edit | edit source]
Splish makes its first appearance in the series. It costs 2 MP to cast and deals 14~15 water magic damage to one enemy. At 499 wisdom the spell will reach its limit of 109~120 damage.
Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince[edit | edit source]
Splish costs 2 MP and is learned via the Aquapothecary, Hottie, Soggy Slasher, Splash Afficionado, and Tongue Twister talents. Splish has a base power of 20, dealing an average of 110 once the caster's wisdom hits 499.
Dragon Quest Treasures[edit | edit source]
Splish can be known naturally by Tundrackies, Sham hatwitches, and Soggy hands at level 1. It costs 3 MP to cast and deals water-element magic damage to a single target. It will automatically upgrade to Splash at level 18.

| Unleashes a splash of water that chases an enemy down, inflicting water-element magic damage.[1] |
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Although water-themed spells such as Maelstrom have appeared before in the series, they are typically categorized as wind or ice spells depending on the game.
- Splish's Japanese name Zaba (ザバ) is an onomatopoetic word for the sound of water splashing. It can also be written as ざば.[2] This is also the origin of Geyzer's Japanese name, Zaban.
