  • The original Japanese name for Chain mail, Kusari katabira (くさりかたびら), refers to the Japanese term for mail armour that was used by samurai and their retainers in feudal Japan. However, the item art throughout the series history clearly depicts western chain mail that was used in Medieval Europe.
