Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age[edit | edit source]
Galenholm is the first section of the original game that may be visited through the Echo Chamber. The Luminary finds himself taken back to just before the events of that game, where the people of the town have fled due to monster attacks brought on by a creature that wanted the Lyre of Ire to improve it's skills as musician. Once the creature is discovered to be an off-key Bongo drongo, it is defeated in a battle. With the Lyre of Ire returned, the people return to their lives and eagerly gossip about a rumored hero paying their village a visit in the near future.
Dragon Quest Builders[edit | edit source]
In this game, Galenholm (along with Kol) consists of different areas that can be reached by using teleportals:
The chapter's theme focuses on harnessing magic to fight elemental enemies, and the boss at the end of Chapter 3 is a colossal fusion of a Magmalice and a Firn fiend. The town itself has fallen to monsters and become a frozen hellscape.
