The Steel siren is a recurring monster in the series, and is the aquatic member of its pallet-swap family.
Characteristics
Steel sirens are the ghosts of mermaids that died due to unfortunate circumstances, and whose grudge prevents them from resting in peace. They wear naval blue dresses with sea-green accents and frills, as well as pink coral crowns.
Appearances
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age
Trivia
- The steel siren is the only pallet-swap of the iron maiden that was not originally built as a doll, and has nothing to do with toys.
- The items that the steel sirens drop may in fact be articles of their funeral rites, with the pale pearls standing in for traditional jewelry and the rosary to guide their spirits.
