The Medislime is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest IV. It is a variant of the Healslime that specializes in casting Midheal on its allies.
Characteristics
Medislimes are healslimes with amber colored heads and purple tentacles. They are more capable than their blue brethren, but not quite on par with the more common cureslimes. Although their healing magic is not as on par as their magenta cousins, occasionally the medislimes will compensate by being physically stronger.
Appearances
Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen
In the remakes of Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen starting from the Playstation version, a medislime named Mary Curey (a pun on the name Marie Curie) can be found in the fourth and final stage of Pioneer Town. In the former, she can be found in the town's cellar where she has befriended the frog (who is actually the cursed sultan of the kingdom that disappeared after he was cursed) that constantly made his appearance throughout the various stages of Pioneer Town. In the latter, she now resides in the town's, now a castle, well where she states that she misses the frog.
Mary Curey's name can be mentioned by Healie in Chapter 1 after interacting with certain characters in Burland then using Party Chat while he is in the party, mentioning on how he is friends with Guru Curu and Mary Curey and how he has not seen them in a while.
