The dragon slime is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series. Introduced in Dragon Quest VII, it is a stronger blue version of the drake slime.

Characteristics

Like drake slimes, dragon slimes are slimes that carry a few traits of dragons, namely a crest, wings, and a tail. They are blue in color.

They essentially possess the same traits as drake slimes, having some draconic qualities contained in a slime form, but of a superior strength, such as being able to breathe harsher fire than drake slimes can. As of the tenth game, the species has been given access to ice breath abilities to differentiate it from its pallet swap, which continued in XI where it lives in the frozen north of the game and exclusively uses cold attacks.

Dragon Quest Tact

Dragon slime appears as an A-rank monster of the Slime family during the limited Slime Fest banner. It can learn Cool Breath, Ting, and Frigid Blizzard naturally and its Leader Perk raises the Crack-type breath potency of allies by 10%. It can also take part in the Pickled slime's Battle Road as a party member.
