Kaping is a spell introduced in Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker. It costs 4 MP to cast and increases the wisdom of all the caster's allies.

Appearances[edit | edit source]

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker[edit | edit source]

Kaping can be learned from:

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2[edit | edit source]

Kaping can be learned from all the skills it could be previously, though Antimagic II now requires 65 points.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry's Wonderland 3D[edit | edit source]

Dragon Quest Monsters 2: Iru and Luca's Marvelous Mysterious Key[edit | edit source]

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3[edit | edit source]

Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince[edit | edit source]

Kaping costs 4 MP and will raise the party's wisdom by 40%, and can be cast twice for a total boost of 80%. It will override the natural wisdom stat cap of a monster, allowing the fourth-tier attack spells to reach the maximum damage ranges that require wisdom stats of 3,999. Kaping is learned through the Fluffy, Sage, Sizz Virtuoso, and Smarty-Pants talents.

Etymology[edit | edit source]

  • Like the single-target version, Kaping's name is taken from the sound effect of a light bulb appear over a character's head in a work of fiction when sudden inspiration strikes. The Japanese name, インテラ, is taken from the English word intelligence
