Buff is a recurring spell in the Dragon Quest series. It increases a party member's defence.

Appearances

Dragon Quest III

Buff is learned by both Mages & Sages at level 4. It temporarily increases the defense of one ally during battle and requires 3 units of MP.

Dragon Quest IV

Buff is learned by Kiryl at level 5. It temporarily increases the defense of one ally during battle and can be cast for 3 MP.

Dragon Quest VI
