The Ghost is a recurring monster of the Dragon Quest series, appearing in the original Dragon Quest and being the first representative of the Undead family.
Characteristics
Ghosts are, well, ghosts. These mischievous undead shades from beyond have a stereotypical appearance that wouldn't be out of place on a Halloween decoration. They float, have a pointed purple and red witch's hat, arms, and a taunting face, always with its tongue hanging out. Although they have made limited appearances in the main series of games, ghosts appear regularly in spinoff games.

Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past
A stronger, giant sized boss version of the ghost is found at the end of the downloadable Ghost Busting DLC Tablet. Although it possess no new skills or spells, it hits hard enough to knock most unseasoned adventurers out of action in a single spooky swipe.
