Localisation History edit
When this spell first appeared in Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker, it was treated as a higher-tier of the already existing Oomph/Baikiruto バイキルト and was named Oomphle.
Then, in Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age, the roles of those spells reversed, and this one functioned as the lower-tier one, and ended up being named Oomph, while バイキルト Baikiruto was renamed to Oomphle.
However, with Dragon Quest VII Reimagined, while both spells exist in the game, this one still functions as the lower-tier one but is still named Oomphle, while the other one - which functions as the higher-tier one - is kept as Oomph.
