The Stark raven is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first introduced in Dragon Quest III. It is a large raven that carries around a skull as a makeshift weapon.
Stark ravens are dark blue corvids perched ominously on top of skulls, likely belonging to some unlucky adventurer. They attack by grasping the skulls in their feet and dropping it on enemies. These birds are encountered early in the hero's adventure and do not pose much of a threat, except in Dragon Quest X, since they are first encountered in the Netherworld.
Stark ravens make their first reappearance in the main series before XI retroactively and are strengthened a bit, being encountered at the start of Version 5. They can perform a War Cry and attack with Skeletoss or spewing forth blazing fire.
These creepy corvids can't resist scooping up skulls from ancient battlefields. Fledgeling ravens like to clamber through the eye-holes to hide from predators
Stark raven appears as a F-rank monster of the Nature family as part of the limited Dragon Quest III event. It can be recruited from Chapter 1, Episode 1: A New World and Chapter 1, Episode 2: Patty's Pub of the event quests at any difficulty and it can participate in both Armful and Dora-in-Grey's Battle Roads as a party member. Stark raven can also be recruited from the story Chapter 16, Episode 1: The Platinum Cup Wrapup.
