Cumulus rex, also known as CloudKing is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series.

Description
Cumulus rex has a humanoid visage made of clouds. It usually knows wind related attacks and can summon Cloud related monsters as well.
Characteristics (DQVII)
Craggy faced cloudy fiends that float through fights on feet covered in dense clouds, ready to strike at foes with strong, slashing claws. Their bodies seem to be made of pure, blue solid air and they swarm in, surrounded by a crowd of Sky Fry that sling the Snooze spell, supporting them against sorcery with Magic Barrier and summoning further hordes of the floatly fiends for backup.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Caravan Heart
The Cloud King is a two-star member of the Element family with a weight of 4. It naturally learns Infernos, Thermostat and Light Wave. Its in-game description reads "When its cloud body is touched, it's a strange sensation."
