Characteristics edit

The ability attempts to blind all enemies, reducing their accuracy to 58 (62.5%), making it slightly less effective per enemy in exchange for it's wider range. Typically, the effects last for 1~2 turns.

Dazzleflash is an enemy-only skill used by Demon thunderer and Scarewell in remake versions.

Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride edit

Dazzleflash is learned by several monster companions such as the drackies and men o' war. In its debut the skill is virtually identical to Dazzle and causes the same effects for a 1~2 turns.

Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation edit

Dazzleflash is learned by advancing to either rank 5 of the Ranger vocation or rank 1 of the Luminary vocation. In this game, the skill changed from reducing accuracy to 38ths like Dazzle to 58ths.

It is used by the enemies bloodcreepers, grrrgoyles, killer moths, devil glasses, haunted mirrors, infernal panes, and Murdaw.

Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past edit

Luminaries learn Dazzleflash upon reaching rank 2, Goodiebags at rank 2, Serial quillers at rank 4, and Delusionists at rank 2.

It is used by the enemies serial quillers, mad moai, hackrobats, axecutioners, whacksmiths, Grody Gumpdrops, delusionists, scarewells, The Time Being, demon deacons, black bishops, malign vines, lesser demons, demon thunderers, moosifers, and slaughtomatons.

Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King edit

Dazzleflash attempts to reduce the entire party's accuracy to 38 for 1~2 turns. It can be used by Spitnik, Lesser demon, Hoodlum, Demon thunderer, Hellstalker, Empyrea, Rhapthorne during his first battle, and the Darksteel dragon. Hoodwink can also use it as a monster companion.

Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies edit

Dazzleflash attempts to blind the entire party for 5~8 turns, returning to being an enemy-only ability. It can be used by Mad moai, Sculptrice, Freaky tiki, AU-1000, Pale whale, and Murdaw from Lv. 1 to 40. At Lv. 57, Murdaw will begin using Blinder instead.
