The Metal slime sword is a sword in the series.
Characteristics[edit | edit source]
A powerful sword designed to inflict guaranteed damage to metal slimes. It features the design of a metal slime on its crossguard.
- The original design of the sword from Dragon Quest IX is based on the liquid metal sword's design from the previous game.
- The design from Dragon Quest XI is instead based on the metal king sword from Dragon Quest VII. The blade has a golden fuller and widens towards the end.

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined[edit | edit source]
The Metal slime sword has an Attack bonus of +99 and can be equipped by the Hero, Maribel, Ruff, Sir Mervyn, and Aishe. The sword inflicts an extra 1 point of damage to metal monsters. It cannot be purchased anywhere and can be sold for 10,000 gold, but it is not recommended to do so due to its rarity. Metal slime sword can be won as a prize from the Lucky Panel by opening a treasure chest and is a 4♦ prize in the present after the Demon King's resurrection.

The Metal slime sword is a one-handed sword with an Attack bonus of +72, a Style and Weight bonus of +10, and deals an extra 1 point of damage to metal slimes. It has an equipment level of 60 and can be equipped by a Warrior, Gladiator, Paladin, Armamentalist, Fortune Teller, Gadabout, Demon Swordsman, or Guardian. The sword can be crafted by a weapon blacksmith.
- Recipe: Brighten rock x15 + Dragon horn x3 + Molten globules + Faerie flame x12

The Metal slime sword has an Attack bonus of +72, a Charm bonus of +10, and deals an extra 1 point of damage to metal slimes. It can be equipped by the Hero as a Warrior, Gladiator, Armamentalist, or Gadabout, Hussar, and Anlucia. The sword can be crafted with the Fun-Size Forge.
