Appearance and Character[edit | edit source]

Anlucia is a young woman with light skin, blue eyes, and long, wavy blonde hair pulled back with a silver hairband. She has a mole near the left corner of her mouth. She wears a red doublet with a long cape over a cream-colored tunic with long sleeves and a orange skirt, as well as a tall pair of leather boots. The front of her doublet has a symbol of a downward-pointing sword with two angel wings over a blue shield with a gold border. Around her waist, she wears a leather sword belt with a silver buckle and a red scabbard with silver adornments strapped to her left side. She wields a one-handed sword with a cup hilt and a knuckle bow.

Having trained with swords since childhood, Anlucia is a formidable melee combatant who uses a her rapier and shield to stand tall as a frontline fighter who rushes headfirst into combat. Being a Hero, she also has access to spells from the Zap family. Additionally, Anlucia can cast a variety of support spells.

An undisclosed amount of time after awakening, Anlucia falls prey to a plot by Demon King Maldragora. When the protagonist sets to free the land of Lendersia from the evil unleashed by Nergel, the mysterious Claws tasks them with collecting three butterflies before proceeding to the capital of this continent, the castle of Gran Zetannia. The protagonist first meets Anlucia as Mishua, a girl suffering with amnesia in the peaceful village of Melsandy. After gathering the butterflies, Claws uses them to get Anlucia's memories back. Once returning to Gran Zetannia, Anlucia and the protagonist learn that there is already a princess Anlucia on the throne. The false princess succeeds in her plan to capture the real Anlucia and imprisons her below the castle, where she subjects her to sacrificies, in hopes to awaken the Hero's powers. Hopefully, the protagonist manages to save the real princess and put a stop to the false one. Before being slain, the false princess reveals that they are in fact living in a false Landersia created by Demon King Maldragora to ultimately replace the real one. The real Anlucia and the protagonist manage to return to the real world by using a Brave Stone.

After returning to the real world, Anlucia must learn how to use her Heroine powers, and learn to priorize the greater good over her own interests. While traveling to improve her powers, it is revealed that the protagonist is actually the Ally, a figure who helps the Hero of their timeline to fight against evil. The Hero's Ally can unleash a protector shield on the Hero when needed.

Dragon Quest of the Stars[edit | edit source]

Anlucia originally only appeared during during Fiend-difficulty fights against Estark and Nokturnus. One hero from the mainline titles would randomly appear to help the players when players reached the final HP bar of the boss.

Anlucia later appeared in the second Dragon Quest X event, which featured an Anlucia-themed gacha banner and equipment. The Royal Rapier would flash her image when using it's main skill. After the final part of the Dragon Quest X version 2 event was released, she became recruitable in the game's Hero Training minigame.

Dragon Quest Tact[edit | edit source]

Anlucia the Luminary appears as an S-rank member of the Hero family as part of the limited Dragon Quest X event, appearing on her own banner alongside Mogus. She can be faced as a boss alongside her imposter in the "Luminary and Maluminary" Special Boss Battle. Anlucia can participate in Mjoll's Battle Road as a party member.
