The Kaleidocat is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series that was introduced in Dragon Quest X.

Characteristics

Kaleidocats are large cats with cream-colored fur and rainbow stripes all over its body, giving the feline its name. They have goofy faces, a tuft of lavender hair on their heads, and a long tongue that constantly trails from their open mouths. The stripes on their body alternate between red, orange, green, blue, and purple and they have orange circles around their eyes and on their ears. The Kaleidocat typically has an affinity for fire magic compared to their blue-striped feline cousins.

Kaleidocat appears as an S-rank monster of the Beast family. It can be scouted by redeeming 2,000 Arena Medals in the Individual Tournament Medal Swap Shop and fully awakened by purchasing Kaleidocat Crystals for 800 Arena Medals each. It can learn Boom, Magic Veil, and Myafrizz naturally. Its leader perk raises the spell potency of all Beast allies, including itself, in a range of 5x5 squares around hit by 20%.
