Characteristics edit
An indigo-coloured tunic worn over a long-sleeved black tunic and black cloth around the collar. It is worn with a long leather belt around the waist with a pouch attached. The clothes are designed for novice thieves and allows them to blend easier into the darkness. Despite its name, it can be worn by a wide range of vocations. In Dragon Quest of the Stars, the leather cape top's design is based on the cutpurse's clobber.

The Cutpurse's clobber has a Defence bonus of +7, and a Style and Weight bonus of +2. It has an equipment level of 7 and can be equipped by a Martial Artist, Thief, Minstrel, Gladiator, Ranger, Luminary, Monster Wrangler, Dancer, Gadabout, or Pirate. The clothes can be crafted with sewing and the entire set consists of the clobber, tights, hood, bracers, and shoes. Starting with Version 6.2, the amount of materials required to make one were reduced, making it easier to craft. Previously, it requires three spools of Flaxen thread and a Silkblossom.

The Cutpurse's clobber has a Defence bonus of +8, a Magical Mending bonus of +5, a Deftness bonus of +6, and a Charm bonus of +4. It can be equipped by the Hero as a Martial Artist, Thief, Minstrel, Gladiator, Ranger, Luminary, Dancer, or Gadabout, and Mjoll, Hussar, Raguas, Duston, and Anlucia. The clothes can be purchased for 165 gold from various armour shops or crafted with the Fun-Size Forge.

Dragon Quest Smash/Grow edit
The Cutpurse's Clobber is 2★ upper body armour with a Defence bonus of +13 and a Magical Defence bonus of +11 at level 1. Its starting Boons are Dark Resistance +5% and Physical Damage +5%. The clothes can be acquired randomly from any transmuter.
