Diamond Dust is a spell that appears exclusively in Dragon Quest Tact and modeled after the attack of the same name from the Final Fantasy series. It is Shiva's signature attack, calling forth a howling blizzard that utterly freezes any enemies in her path.

Diamond Dust can be learned by Shiva at level 44 and costs 128 MP to cast. It has a range of three squares in front of her, inflicts major Crack-type spell damage to all enemies in a plus sign-shaped area of effect, and has a chance to lower their Crack Res for three turns, as well. Upgrading the spell increases its damage and reduces the amount of MP it costs to cast.
