Full plate armour made to protect the upper body, worn over a grey long-sleeved shirt. In some games, it is also worn with a set of gauntlets.

Dragon Quest X [edit | edit source]
The Full plate armour top has a Defence bonus of +19, a Style bonus of +9, and increases the wearer's Weight by 23. It has an equipment level of 28 and can be equipped by Warriors, Thieves, Paladins, Demon Swordsmen, Pirates, Guardians, and Armamentalists if they have allocated enough skill points into their Fource skill.
The entire set consists of the top and bottom, the steel helmet, steel gauntlets, and steel sabatons. It can be crafted by an armour blacksmith. If all five pieces are equipped, the wearer gains a +20 bonus to Style and a +5 bonus to Weight.

Dragon Quest X Offline[edit | edit source]
The Full plate armour top has a Defence bonus of +23, an Deftness bonus of +5, a Charm bonus of +18, and increases resistance against curses by 8%. It can be equipped by the Hero as a Warrior, Thief, or Paladin, as well as Hussar, Raguas, Duston, and Anlucia. It can be purchased from various armour shops for 2,000 gold or crafted with the Fun-Size Forge.

The Full plate armour top is 3★ armour with a Defence bonus of +11 that increases resistance against paralysis by 5%.
Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai: A Hero's Bonds[edit | edit source]
The Full Plate Armour (Top) is 2★ armour that can be equipped by the Luminary Leader as a Hero, Warrior, or Martial Artist, as well as all versions of Dai, Avan, Hyunckel, Crocodine, Baran, Larhart, and Nova. At level 35, it has a Physical Defence bonus of +46 and a Magical Defence bonus of +44. It could occasionally be acquired from limited Treasure Hunts.
