Mary Lou (also known as Primrose) is a minor character in Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen.
Hank Hoffman Jr.'s cartmare, she pulls the Hero and party's wagon. The novelization of IV states that she is the transformed state of Sparkie, who was banished to the surface by Zenith Dragon, but in the remake, Hank claims to have raised her since she was a pony.
