The beelzebuzz is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series.
Introduced in Dragon Quest IV, it's a giant red fly with a talent for bringing back allies with Kerplunk.
Characteristics[edit | edit source]
Beelzebuzzes are giant flying insects with red and purple bodies, yellow wings and eyes, and large fanged mouths. In all of their appearances, they can land devastating critical hit attacks and sacrifice themselves to bring other monsters back to life.

Dragon Quest Tact[edit | edit source]
Although they haven't physically appeared in the game itself, beelzebuzzes are mentioned by a giant moth in the cut scene after clearing Stage 3 of King kelp's Battle Road.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Beelzebuzz's gimmick in Dragon Quest IV of only having the spell Kerplunk in its repertoire is succeeded by the bomboulder for most of its future appearances and the pigmalion in Dragon Quest VIII.
