[[Hero (Dragon Quest III)|The Hero]] and his/her allies spend time around the area to strengthen themselves up for the journey ahead.  They return shortly after obtaining the [[Thief's Key]] after learn of the [[Wrecking ball]] that can be used to proceed further in [[Tempt Cave]] is here.  They obtain it from an old man who lives north of the town [[church]].

Reeve is a tutorial town, with nearly all of the citizens giving gameplay tips in the form of casual dialogue; a swordsman assures the player that interesting areas with have something in them more often than not, a man struggling to push a boulder that the {{Hero 3}} can shove easily tips players off that objects can be interacted with, etc. A young child asks the player to kill many {{MFamilies}}s to avenge his late parents, reminding the player that there is danger in the world for the common folk.

Players will also notice locked doors in the town, requiring the [[thief's key]]. The one-of-a-kind [[wrecking ball]] is gained from the old inventor, which is needed to proceed further in the [[Path of Promise]]. His wife is annoyed with his tinkering, but lightens up after hearing that his invention literally paved the way for the {{Hero 3}}.

Reeve is a town found in Dragon Quest III, and is part of the kingdom of Aliahan's northwestern region.

Reeve is the first town The Hero and his/her allies can travel to, and it is advised to spend time around the area to strengthen the party up for the journey ahead.
