Reeve is a town found in Dragon Quest III, and is part of the kingdom of Aliahan's northwestern region.

Reeve is the first town The Hero and his/her allies can travel to, and it is advised to spend time around the area to strengthen the party up for the journey ahead.
Reeve is a tutorial town, with nearly all of the citizens giving gameplay tips in the form of casual dialogue; a swordsman assures the player that interesting areas with have something in them more often than not, a man struggling to push a boulder that the Hero can shove easily tips players off that objects can be interacted with, etc. A young child asks the player to kill many monsters to avenge his late parents, reminding the player that there is danger in the world for the common folk.
Players will also notice locked doors in the town, requiring the thief's key. The one-of-a-kind wrecking ball is gained from the old inventor, which is needed to proceed further in the Path of Promise.
