The Cumulus rex is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest VII. It is a king of the skies whose body is made up of blue clouds.
Characteristics
Craggy faced cloudy fiends with humanoid visages that float through fights on feet covered in dense clouds, ready to strike at foes with strong, slashing claws. Their bodies seem to be made of pure, blue solid air and they swarm in, surrounded by a crowd of sky fries that sling the Snooze spell, supporting them against sorcery with Magic Barrier and summoning further hordes of the floaty fiends for backup.
