Drake slimes are flying, flapping saffron shaded slimes, but instead of being shaped like the classic Slime silhouette droplet, they have small wings that allow them to whip through the air and strike, dragon shaped horns, and a timid tail that almost makes them look like little yellow fledgling dragons.
The dragon-half of the deceptively dopey looking Drake slime makes it stronger than most ground bound slimes, granting it increased strength and mobility, along with being able to unleash a barrage of fiery breath to fry all foes, thanks to their dragonic traits.
A trio of Drake slimes are fought alongside Numpton in the first battle at the Allblades Arena. It is highly recommended to take them out first since their fire breath can damage the entire party. Equipping your characters with Boomerangs or a Whip will make quick work of them due to their low HP, allowing you to focus on Numpton more easily when he's on his own.
These orange slimes love dragons so much they've sculpted their own bodies into imitations of their idols. They long to grow up to be fully-fledged dragons
Drake slime appears as a B-rank monster of the Slime family as part of the "Slime Fest" event. It can be recruited from Chapter 2, Episode 5 of the event quests at any difficulty, as well as Hard Chapter 1, Episode 1: Use abilities! of the main storyline. The Drake slime can participate in the Battle Roads of the King bubble slime, Chocobo, and Dark Armour Spear Hyunckel as a party member.
