The standard Crabid has a red carapace with yellow on its underside, arms, and legs. They have large eyes and even larger, gaping mouths lined with pointed teeth. A trail of drool can be seen on their lower jaw, owing to the disease half of their namesake. The monstrous crustaceans can quickly overwhelm novice adventurers by calling for aid from more of their kind.
Crabids appeared from the beginning of the game. They maintain their familiar ability to call for backup from other crabids, protect themselves by defending, and will flee when threatened. Starting with Version 5.0, vicious crabids can be encountered in the Netherworld, as well.
These big-clawed brutes may look tough, but they're actually rather cowardly creatures who'll cry out to their friends for help the second a fight starts to turn sour.
These monsters hunt their prey in squadrons. Highly disciplined troops, as soon as the orders come in from the top brass, they file back to their barracks in an orderly fashion
Crabid appears as a D-rank monster of the Nature family. It can be recruited from Chapters 6-2, 7-4, and 8-1 of the main storyline and it stars in its own Battle Road. It can also participate in the Stump chump and Dora-in-Grey's Battle Roads as a party member.
