Puff! returns to the mainline series after a twenty-four year absence, being added to ''X'' with the version 7.0 update on March 21st, 2024. Instead of a spell that can be cast at any time, it is now the exclusive [[Pep|pep power]] of the [[Dragomancer]] vocation. Players who use Puff! are transformed into an immensely powerful [[great dragon]] for 60 seconds, with their stats going up by HP +650, MP +150, attack +810, defence +730, agility +510, deftness + 330, magical might +650, charm +100, and weight +650. In addition, the act of transforming removes all status ailments, increases the player's attack by 50% temporarily on top of the raw attack boost, and restores the player's HP & MP by 50% of the new maximum.
