Localization History[edit | edit source]
The Japanese spell Begiragon had previously been localized as Kasizzle, as it had no higher-tier Sizz variant. However, with Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2, they added a higher-tier being ギラグレイド Giragureido. To work around this, they renamed this spell Kasizz, and let the Kasizzle naming for the newer one.

Dragon Quest: Scan Battlers[edit | edit source]
Kasizz appeared as a 4★ giga rare special ticket spell that cost 2 SP to use. Bianca Whitaker would be summoned to cast the spell, its animation being the same as in The Adventure of Dai.
Dragon Quest Tact[edit | edit source]
Kasizz can be learned by Rickerd at level 38 and by Dracky and Tortured soul through Talent Blossoming. It costs 108 MP to cast, has a range of three squares in front of the caster, and inflicts major Sizz-type spell damage to all enemies in a range of three squares horizontally. Upgrading the spell increases its damage and reduces the amount of MP it costs to cast. The spell can be taught to any unit by using a Kasizz Scroll, which can be purchased from the Legend League Series 5 Medal Swap Shop for 5,000 Medals.
Jessica Albert has two different variations of the spell named Crimson Kasizz and Searing Kasizz, while Dark Commander Hadlar has a variation known as Extreme Heat Spell.

Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai[edit | edit source]
In the series, Hadlar describes Kasizz as his greatest spell, with Popp having knowledge of it and being terrified of the spell's destructive power. Hadlar first casts it against both him and Maam on Valge Island. When he casts it, Hadlar gathers intense heat energy in his hands, which arcs above his head, then he fires it off from his index fingers with his fists clenched. In the 1991 anime, it is depicted a beam of intense white light, while in the 2020 anime, Hadlar gathers crackling golden energy in his hands that he fires off as a beam of heat and light. Later on, Matoriv casts Kasizz against Hadlar as well, who becomes appalled that humans are able to cast the spell.
Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai: A Hero's Bonds[edit | edit source]
Kasizz appeared as a Special Move for Hadlar and the Luminary Leader. It is a long-range attack over a wide area that inflicted magical Fire damage five times and raised all allies' Fire damage temporarily by 30%. In this game, the spell's animation was closer to its manga depiction, with the caster gathering flames and sending out flames from their hands rather than the crackling energy beam from the anime.
The main way to unlock the skill was by obtaining the Scorching Staff from limited Treasure Hunts.
