The fur hood is a recurring piece of headwear in the Dragon Quest franchise that first appeared in Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation.

The fur hood has a Defence bonus of +10. It can be equipped by any vocation as long as they are female, and is sold in Asham. A Fur hood can also be found in a dresser in Khoryv.

The fur hood has a Defence bonus of +11. It is sold in Faerie Lea, Coburg, and Gotha. The Hero, Bianca Whitaker, Nera Briscoletti, Parry, and Madchen can equip it along with various monster recruits.
Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation[edit | edit source]
The fur hood increases Defence by +11 and Style by +13. It is sold in Amor. The hood Milly, Ashlynn, and Lizzie can wear it.
Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past[edit | edit source]
The fur hood has a Defence bonus of +11 and an Style bonus of +13. It can be equipped by Maribel Mayde, Ruff, and Aishe.
Dragon Quest VII Reimagined[edit | edit source]
Fur Hood has a defence bonus of +21 and reduces ice damage taken by 10%. It can be equipped by Maribel, Ruff, and Aishe. It's purchase price is 900 gold coins, and it's sale price is 450 coins. It can be purchased in present-day L'Arca and obtained in the Lucky Panel minigame in Pilgrim's Rest in the past. It can also be dropped by great sabrecubs, enormoose, and wight prowlers.

The fur hood has a Defence bonus of +18. It can be worn by the Hero or Yangus. The fur hood can be bought at West Trodain Church for 1,400 gold coins and sold for 700 gold coins.
