Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past edit
In the original Sony PlayStation version, Mineuchi is a hybrid ability learned by advancing to rank 5 as a Warrior or Shepherd immediately after completing the other. It removes sleep and confusion from a single party member at no MP cost.
- In the Nintendo 3DS version, hybrid abilities no longer exist and Rude Awakening is instead learned by advancing to rank 5 as a Warrior.

- In Japanese, 峰打ち (Mineuchi, 峰打ち?) refers to getting struck by the back of a single-bladed sword, such as a katana.
