Nina is a monster wrangler from Dragon Quest Smash/Grow, who is usually accompanied by the pink slime Goopy.
Appearance and Personality[edit | edit source]
A gentle and polite girl who is beloved by all, Nina is an avid reader and uses her knowledge and kindness to support those around her.
She has coral-coloured hair slicked back into a high ponytail, held in a gold hair cuff, and a fringe parted to her right side. Her round eyes are lime-green-coloured. She wears a set of earrings with blue dangling orbs, closely mimicking anti-freeze earrings. She has a brown choker with a silver ring attached that holds up the orange fabric that is layered on top of her short-sleeved purple tunic with white sleeve cuffs. At her waist is a belt that holds her monster-wrangling rope. She slings a purple book satchel with a green lucky charm. Her boots are purple with black caps and brown soles, and the black insides are puffy.

The player first encounters Nina in the Caves of Solardor, chasing after the suspicious pink slime (Goopy) that the party has been tracking down for a while now. After the party saves the slime, she and Goopy join the group. Later she mentions that she is the princess of Verna. At Sylvald Forest, the party encounters an old Vernan royal guard, Quin, who they heard helped the people of Karnaccan Desert defeat their rift's alpha. The two recognise each-other and note that it has been a while since they have seen each-other.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Nina and Zepha share many design characteristics, having matching earrings, same-coloured eyes, and inverted versions of each-other's tunic/dress.
- Nina bears many striking resemblances to Jade of Dragon Quest XI, looking visually similar (with different colours) and both leaving their kingdoms for adventure.
