Brake Wind is an ability introduced Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker. It works like the Backdraft skill in the main series and bounces back breath attacks once, but is superior in that it covers the entire party instead of just the user.

Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker[edit | edit source]
The Brake Wind lasts for one turn and reflects Fire and Ice breath attacks, as well as all ailment-inducing breath skills, once when activated. It can be learned from:
- Anti-dragon (64 points)
- Bad Breath (46 points)
- Barricade (30 points)
- Bird Brain (100 points)
- Guerrilla (100 points)
Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 2[edit | edit source]
Brake Wind has the same properties as before and can be learned from all the skillsets it could previously, though Bird Brain now requires only 80 points.
