Paralysis Attack is a recurring ability in the Dragon Quest series. It launches a melee attack that may paralyze the target. Monsters first gained the ability to inflict paralysis with their normal attacks in Dragon Quest II, eventually becoming its own skill in Dragon Quest V.

Paralysis Attack can be used by Dread admirals, Man o' wars, and Scornets.
Dragon Quest V
Paralysis Attack is learned by the man o' war upon joining. It does not cost MP to use.

It can also be taught to any unit by using an ability scroll, which is earned as a reward for completing stage 7 of the Ghost's Battle Road.
