Evil Prayer is a recurring skill in the Dragon Quest series only used by bosses in which the user recovers all of their MP. It is usually used after a boss has cast Magic Burst.

Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen[edit | edit source]
Evil Prayer is used by the true final boss in the sixth chapter of the game.
Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation[edit | edit source]
Evil Prayer is used by Mortamor in his final form.
Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past[edit | edit source]
As in the other games, Evil Prayer is used by the game's final boss in his last form.
Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King[edit | edit source]
Evil Prayer is used by Rhapthorne, as well as at least two superbosses: Evil Jessica in Memoriam and the Ultimate Dragon.
Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies[edit | edit source]
Corvus uses Evil Prayer during his boss fight, as well as Greygnarl when faced as a grotto boss, and two Legacy Bosses.
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age[edit | edit source]
Evil Prayer is used by Mordegon, Lord of Shadows in his second form after using either Mighty Magic Burst or Black Mark, as well as Mortamammoth and Hoopthorne.
