This article is about an element that has not had a modern localization.
(i.e., the last localization comes from the Dragon Warrior era)
As such, its name might slightly vary in style or syntax compared to other names of later releases.
BirdEye is used to check the distance to nearest overworld location.
It shares its function and utility with Eye for Distance.
Appearances[edit | edit source]
Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past[edit | edit source]
Learned by Sailor at rank 4. It is not present in the 3DS version.
As it has exactly the same function as Eye for Distance, it only existed in Dragon Quest VII (PSX version) that had an extended list of abilities, some of them sharing the same effects.
For later instances of DQVII, both abilities were not included as it would not work with the 3D overworlds.
