Flame Ball is a recurring breath attack in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest IV. It spits out a weak fireball that does a small amount of damage to a group of enemies.

Dragon Quest IV
Flame Ball is an enemy-only skill that can be used by Thorny devils, Flying doctors, Fire beatles, Salamander fries, Flamethrowers, Humbabas, Hellspawns, Woolungasauruses, Psaro's Pawn, Abominable showman, Balzack, and Tricksy. It deals 6-10 fire breath damage to the entire party.
Dragon Quest X
Flame Ball is an enemy-only skill that can be used by Damselflies. It still deals around 6 damage, but now only targets a single character.
Dragon Quest Tact
Flame Ball is known naturally by Damselfly at level 1 and costs 9 MP to use. It has a range of up to three squares away from the user and inflicts minor Frizz-type breath damage to a single enemy.
