Dragon Quest VI
Known as Backdraft in the earlier games, the skill is learned by reaching rank 8 of the Ranger vocation. The skill works only once per use and covers only the caster. In addition to all fire and ice breath attacks, Pyre o' Fire, Tidal Wave, Magma Blast, and Big Banga will be reflected as well.
Dragon Quest VII
Backdraft is learned by reaching rank 2 of the Pirate, and 4 of the Hero, rank 7 of the Vigilantern, and rank 3 of the Prism Peacock vocations. It functions identically to the version seen in VI.
Dragon Quest IX
This ability is learned with 13 skill points allocated into Fan skill, and will reflect fire, ice, and poison breath for 6~9 turns.
